Attempted Homicide

Riverside, Ca- On October 4, 2006, at about 6:45pm officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to Kaiser Hospital on Magnolia Avenue regarding a gunshot victim who was brought into the emergency room. Hospital staff told the officers that a silver compact vehicle occupied by three or four males dropped off the victim then drove away.

The victim, a male Hispanic adult from Riverside, told officers that he was shot by a black male near a liquor store in the 4000 block of Tyler Avenue. The victim sustained one gunshot wound to his upper left side and is undergoing surgery; he is expected to survive. Riverside Police Detectives are investigating the incident.
