Homicide Investigation

Riverside, Ca-  On 111402, officers from the Riverside Police Department were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the 2500 block of Atlanta.  The officers entered the home and found a male adult lying on the living room floor with a gunshot wound to the chest.  The victim was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where the medical staff pronounced him dead a short time later.      

The investigation shows that three male adults entered the home uninvited and engaged in a short argument with the victim.  One shot was fired by one of the three men striking the decedent in the chest.  The reason for the shooting is unclear and the investigation is continuing. 

The deceased victim is tentatively identified as a twenty-five-year-old male whose last known address is in Riverside.
